About Us

Powergear was created in 2014 by the owner of Singapore Drum Shop, Benny Lim. The goal of the brand is to create quality products at reasonable prices for most drummers to be able to afford.

Why Powergear? 

We understood that many working musicians and many younger aspiring drummers were breaking sticks that were expensive and sub-quality. We wanted to create a product that was of good quality, yet affordable and consistent, thus Powergear was created.

What is the difference between Powergear and the other drumstick brands that SDS carry? 

1. The number of models of Powergear Drumsticks are limited to no more than 10.
2. Powergear Drumsticks are only available in USA Hickory.
3. Powergear Drumsticks are weight matched but not pitch matched.

The name Powergear literally means "durable products". In drumming terms, "gear" are usually referred to as drum products thus the name Powergear was created.
