Craviotto Drums was founded in 2004 by master builder Johnny Craviotto. Johnny has been known widely as the best drum craftsmen for Solid Shell Drums and his drums are widely coveted as the "Best Wood Drums" money can get.
Prior to setting up the Craviotto Drum Company, Johnny had an extensive collaboration with DW Drums where his drums were the flagship line of DW.
Craviotto Drums are made to order and production is limited to as little as 70 kits a year and a few hundred snare drums.

The shell still rings clearly and projection is still uncompromised, but the additional harmonics and excess ring are more contained. Also, the overall resonance is slightly suppressed and punchier.
