Tama Artstar Cordia/Bubinga/Birch 14x6.5 Snare Drum (Made in Japan) (Used)
Tama's new Artstar snare, a nod to a classic ’80s snare of the same name, reignites the Artstar legacy with modern touches and exceptional quality and performance.
The 6.5” x 14” snare is extremely versatile and capable of very complex sounds. The drum is very sensitive and responds well to subtle tuning changes. When tuned in lower registers, the drum bellows with dark tones but retains distinct clarity. At medium tuning, you’ll get a classic full-bodied timbre: warm, deep, and rich. Cranking it up to higher tension brings out brightness, immediate attack, and superb clarity.
Artstar shells are made from a combination of Cordia, Bubinga, and Birch. The density and rich grain of Cordia offers a pure musical resonance that’s often utilized in acoustic guitar backs and sides. Bubinga, characterized by extraordinary depth and lush, dark tones, provides a sound unlike any other shell material available. The influence of Birch is heard in the middle frequencies, adding crisp attack and crystal clarity
The die-cast hoops help control overtones, while still letting them ring out when needed on cracking rim shots. Dual-side snare tensioning delivers outstanding snare response, by ensuring even tension across the surface of the snare wires. Tama's redesigned snare wire end plates feature a redesigned angle and thinner straps to further enhance snare response and sensitivity.
The outer-ply Cordia grain drapes the Artstar in an attractive, classy sheen enhanced by the glossy clear lacquer finish. Silky-smooth tension rods make subtle tuning changes a breeze, letting you dial in just the right amount of tension for perfect tone every time.

Canopus Limited 30 Inner Carbon Maple 14x5.5 Snare Drum
The L30-1455ICM is the result of our experiment blending the projection and response of maple with the rigid and resilient features of carbon fiber.When dealing with a hybrid shell blending wood and carbon fiber, the characteristics of the wood tend to be more noticeable, and high-priced carbon fiber could easily be only regarded as covering material (e.g. acrylic material).
With the L30-1455ICM , we have created a distinctive sound by carefully researching the ratio of carbon fiber to maple, the bearing edge, and the shape of the bed.
In order to further highlight the shell’s character, we have adopted an all-round edge and a flat 3mm-deep bed that controls the response of the snare wire and drum shell when the volume drops to the softest ranges. This snare drum responds dramatically when a force above a certain level is applied and the sound totally disappears when it falls below a certain level. This gives the L30-1455 ICM a unique characteristic that is different from all other Canopus drums pursuing a distinctive interaction with the snare wires. Additionally, since it is designed for use in situations where no control is required at low volumes, it is actually very easy to play. You can experience clear cut attacks in your drum rolls that are unimpeded by resonating wires from previous attacks.
Another unique character is quality of the core: We have left the shape of the core as is. This is required for the pleasant drum sound we demand. The sharp, rigid outline could be obscured if the surface skin of the core is coated and polished up. It is only with a hybrid snare drum that you can enjoy the difference between vibration coefficient and threshold (the level at which the effect happens depending on the volume put into the stroke).

Gretsch Brooklyn Standard 14x5.5 Satin Black Metallic Maple/Poplar Snare Drum (Lightly Used)
Mike Johnston and Gretsch's Brooklyn Standard Snare Drum blends the classic 6-ply maple/poplar Brooklyn wood shell formulation with some high-performance add-ons. Heavy-duty engraved Gretsch 302 Hoops (3.0mm double-flanged) sit on double 45-degree bearing edges for optimized head and shell interaction. On the batter side, an old-school internal damper helps take some of the edge off a cranked head or miked shell. On the snare side, stock 42-strand snare wires give the Brooklyn Standard a fat attack and incredible response. Paired with Gretsch tube lugs, the Brooklyn's standard Lightning throw off and butt plate, the Gretsch Brooklyn Standard Snare Drum is a recipe for great presence and tone. Premier is commemorating its 100th anniversary with the Della-Porta 100 limited edition 14” x 5” snare drum. Exclusively handmade in the UK and limited to 100 pieces, the vintage-style snare drum honours this milestone in the history of one of the most legendary drum companies in the world.
The Della-Porta 100 features a 5mm, 4-ply walnut shell that remains faithful to the original shell building techniques. Traditionally formed by hand, the walnut plies are rolled and lapped with scarf joints, whilst 6mm, 4-ply beech support hoops ensure strength and stability. The drum’s outer consists of a single ply of figured walnut, hand finished with a protective oil, which enhances its deep grain patterns. Walnut is noted for its rich, dry tone. Resonance is short but the low-end is deep.
A vintage 30-degree round-over bearing edge allows the Calftone batter head – custom printed exclusively by Evans Drumheads – to deliver a rounder, more focused sound. With more drumhead contact to the shell, the Della-Porta 100 is punchier than other snares.
The snare system comprises a precision engineered Premier 610 snare mechanism, fitted with 20-strand Puresound snare wires. These wires provide a darker, crisp snare response and allow the qualities of the walnut shell to be more prominent in the overall sound.
Each snare is carefully hand assembled with 10 traditional tube lugs and single-flange steel hoops with mini-claw hooks. The drums are completed with a commemorative centenary badge, cast in English pewter, to herald Premier’s 100 years of drum building expertise.
A bespoke protective carrying case is included with every Della-Porta 100 snare. Collaborating with the UK’s leading case manufacturer Hardcase, it features matching centenary branding, padded inner protection and is moulded in a vintage brown finish, exclusive to Premier.
All pieces are individually numbered to the inner shell, the carrying case handle and the Certificate of Authenticity.
The Della-Porta 100 is a versatile and accomplished snare drum, proudly named in recognition of Premier’s founder, Albert Della-Porta. It is Premier’s tribute to the legacy of the family responsible for six successful decades of drum building.
